Approx. 10 months ago I started having a chronic rash on my feet, which I assumed was some form of atheletes foot. The rash was mostly comprised of fungal build-up between and around my toes, with small water blisters apearing randomly near the pressure areas of my step. This condition started after a few months of intermittently spending almost entire days with my steel-toe work boots soaking wet on the inside while @ work. I tried a few over-the-counter remedies (Gold Bond powder, Tinactin, Anti-fungal cream), to no avail. The condition has gotten worse in the last 3-4 months. My blisters, and now self inflicted sores(scratching), have spread to my heels as well as a broader covering of my foot, top & bottom.
Approx. 3 months ago I started having chronic lower back pain in the lower spine and kidneys area. The onset was fairly sudden, spread over no more than 48 hrs. In the beginning I thought it must be a back injury sustained while lifting something. I gave it more thought and realized that I hadn't done any strenuous lifting or other actions during or leading up to the time of the onset. The pain has continued since then with short periods of relief, sometimes as long as 1 week. On a scale of 1-10, the pain/discomfort usually peaks around 4. To date I have not missed any work due to the back pain.
Approx. 2 months ago I started having intermittent pain/sensation of loss of circulation to my left leg. It feels very much like how I imagine having a very tightly wrapped tourniquet around the top of my thigh would feel. The pain occurs more often when I have been sitting-down in a particular position, then stand-up. Usually after committing those actions I can manage a few steps before being overcome by pain as high as 8 (scale 1-10), spreading from my left upper gluteus to my lower calf, and lasting up to 30 seconds before subsiding. This condition also continues today.
6 days ago my lower back pain returned but feeling slightly different. My lower back felt like I had mysteriously been punched repeatedly in the lower spine/kidneys area, it felt like significant bruising. The onset was sudden and has not yet subsided.
4-1/2 days ago I experienced sudden onset of extreme bone pain(up to a 9 on scale) in my heels, metatarsals, both knees, and left upper shin bone. A low fever, and minor bone pain in my left wrist and hand. At first I had thought that it was joint pain but have identified it specifically as bone pain. The pain feels like severe "bone bruises", and at present has left me almost completely unable to walk. This pain seems to be progressing. I have been monitoring my temperature orally over the last three days and have not peaked higher than 100.0 F.
I am 30 years old, 6.0 ft. tall, 235 lbs., large frame bone structure, caucasian, moderately physically active, below averagenutrition, and have no history of illness or disease other than what is listed here. I have not seen a primary care physician in over 15 years, my only doctor visits in the interrim have been for injuries sustained during sports related activities or work injuries. I am not currently, and for the past 15 years, on any medication including over-the-counter. Other than these very specific symptoms I feel great in every other way.
