If you feel dizzy or nauseous during or after a workout of any kind, lie down. Do not sit or stand still. Even if the cause is not serious, standing or sitting can cause your blood pressure to fall dangerously low and cause you to faint.
Lying down will usually normalize your blood pressure, and also keep you from getting hurt if you fall. Of course, it’s a good idea to cool down after a workout, but the one exception is when you’re feeling weak, dizzy or nauseous.Make sure to check with a doctor afterward to identify the cause.
Thank you for this tip. I've become dizzy during and after a workout before, and I had never heard that the first thing you are supposed to do is lie down. I would always take a sitting position, or remain standing still.
