Intrinsic Injuries (Stemming from internal bodily causes)
* Musculoskeletal misalignment in neck, back, etc.
* Musculoskeletal weakness
* Inflexibility of muscle

Extrinsic (Stemming from training injury and equipment malfunctions
* Improper training technique
* Changes in technique/workout routine
* Changes in training environment, terrain, or climate
* Inappropriate or poorly-adjusted equipment settings (too heavy weights, too fast on treadmill, etc.)
* Increase in training frequency, intensity or time
