Charlie horse and numbness in foot.

Hi, I have been having what feels like a charlie horse in my right calf for about 2 weeks. Tonight the outside part of my foot has become numb. I have not had any injuries.  I would like to know what could be causing this, and is it something I should get into my Dr. for?
