Back in February I wrote about the rush I felt as I participated in our statewide caucus as part of the presidential primary process. This past weekend was the follow up to that on the county level. Over one thousand of my neighbors in the county showed up for this event and despite it lasting all day long was equally as inspiring. People came together as they have for generations to discuss and debate the issues of the day. What a wonderful refresher in high school civics it was as well. My journey with this process has not yet come to an end this year. I have been elected to move on as a delegate on the state level next. I think it was my sad story of caring the for rural underserved won people over.
