No. Staph.aureus is not an STD . It is spread by close contact and can be spread by objects such as door handles, shopping cart handles, cell phones, telephones...anything that a person that carries it may touch. Now for everyone`s protection, to avoid getting an infection, good handwashing is the best plan.
