I twisted my back a few weeks ago now I have burning thighs and arms while sitting down sometime while sleeping Had mri on neck and back nothing found wrong ,Will this heal thank you in advance .
Burning, electric shock sensations in limbs are signs of nerve irritation. This can be from spinal cord damage or from more local injury. Sometimes these areas of irritation are positional such that an MRI performed while laying down won't show evidence of damage when performed in standing position. Longstanding uncontrolled diabetes can also lead to burning sensation and even loss of sensation, especially in feet. So can some vitamin deficiencies and medications. Neurologists (and some PMR specialists) can perform nerve testing to locate & isolate area of nerve injury/irritation. Good luck!
Thank you so much. I just had my yearly phy .so it not a medical condition no diabetes or vitamin deficiencies. I think it could be a muscel due to feeling a little pulling right near the spine area maybe hitting a nerve while sitting. It does feel a little better taking the meds . I will look into seeing aq neurologist. Thank you for your reply it helps .it a really blessing to have a place to come and get some feed back .Thank you again.
