Breast Feeding

Question:
Hi!

I am breastfeeding and have tinea versicolor on my neck and in between my breasts. Can I use this product or does it get excreted into the breastmilk?

-Bryn

Answer:
Hi Bryn -

It is okay to use Saprox Natural Antifungal while breastfeeding.

Saprox has been tested for heavy metals and radiation. It passed very well in both areas.

Saprox is not to be taken internally so make sure that all Saprox is washed off thoroughly before breastfeeding your baby.

I commend you on breastfeeding. Excellent choice.

Given that you have tinea versicolor on your neck and between your breasts, it appears that these areas are of high dampness for you. Consider getting a bra that is breathable and ensuring that your neck has proper air flow. Do not wear cotton turtlenecks or if you exercise and sweat a lot, make sure you wash and dry well afterwards. Do not keep the wet clothing on after workouts.

I also highly recommend that you obtain a Premium Shower Water Filter which removes chlorine. While you are considering the shower purifier, I also highly recommend that you look at the Chlorine Crystal Bath Ball .

Bathing baby in chlorine is not ideal. The Chlorine Bath Ball removes the chlorine from the bath water and allows baby’s skin and lungs to be chlorine free - as well as yours.

Also, the preventative style of medicine that I practice, comes out strong especially with breastfeeding mothers.

Have fun with your little one! I’m a father of three boys. My youngest is now almost 2 years old and just weaned him. It’s great being a parent.

Dr Ben
