There are many ways to remove benign growths.
I would ask my primary care doctor to recommend a good dermatologist and go from there.
If he doesn't have any suggestions, contact your local AMA organization (American Medical Association). They should be able to help you find someone.
I hope it goes well for you.

Shaheen: Your question caught my eye, not because I have an answer but because I had a subdural swelling appear above my upper lip a few days ago. I'm 49. There's no redness and no pain. It's between the upper lip and the right nostril, is round, and is about the size of the tip of my little finger. I've done a lot of Google searches, and, from what I've read, doesn't match any descriptions of skin cancer, boils, acne, etc. It appeared within a day but doesn't seem to have grown since. Does this sound like what you are referring to? Mark

please could you please suggest a nhs place where this can be removed, as it is now a little painful and quite prominent.
