My morning constitutional through Sinai Hospital’s atrium to the Greenspring Café is usually a quiet one, but on Tuesday, August 2, my daily quest for coffee had me walking out of my office and into a musical. Like any of the office workers, sailors or flower cart vendors in the background of a Rogers-Astaire set piece, I was surprised by the sight of seemingly normal folks — in dress clothes and scrubs, in patient gowns and custodians’ uniforms —snapping into step as music filled the room.
In perfect synchronicity, the dancers moved to the groove of the Sinai song. This song, called “Freedom to Sing,” celebrates employees’ “freedom to believe” and their “freedom to achieve.”
