With the advent of allergy season, I would like to make some suggestions to help relieve symptoms of sneezing, wheezing, congestion, runny nose, headache, watery eyes, itchy nose and eyes and potential sinus infection.
First, ingest Lavender oil. Anywhere from 6-12 drops in a capsule, once or twice a day will do. If you do not like the aftertaste (something I’ve gotten used to), then freeze the capsules.
Another good essential oil at this time of the year is Peppermint. Peppermint clears nasal passages and relieves headache. Drink Peppermint in tea; apply directly to the tongue; or place a small drop under each nostril.
Lastly, try some capsules of R.C. R.C. can decrease respiratory secretions when ingested. Again, 6-12 drops in a capsule once or twice a day. (When using capsules you may dilute with olive oil or almond oil.)
So, when the sneezing and wheezing overcomes you this Spring, reach for your essential oils – Lavender, Peppermint, R.C.
