You may remember a post a couple of weeks ago about collecting stamps for the London Chest Hospital. Since contacting them again it seems they no longer collect but another charity I know of is trying to collect as many as possible by October. So please start collecting all your used stamps...just tear around it and send them to the address below:

I have had a real busy week and its really caught up with me now. The past couple of days I have had a real sharp pain in my back where the thoroctomy scar is. I often do get pain here but its become bad again. I may ring clinic to see what they advise as its affecting my sleep which is no good for my body to heal properly.
The district nurse will be round in the morning to take my bloods to check my tac levels. I always make sure that I put HUGE notices in my red book and even around my room to remind me not to take my 8am tac until it is done! I then send the bloods by post and call clinic a few days later for the results. Simples! I usually try and warm up my hands in a bowl of hot water and then wear gloves until the nurse arrives. This helps to 'liven up' my tired thin veins that are not very giving at all.
Yesterday, I thought I was getting sun stroke. It was unbearable at times and has really made me think about holiday destinations and time of year when I finally get the go-ahead. I used to be able to tolerate very high heat but now I simply cannot. It just makes my breathing more difficult and I guess my heart ends up working faster=not a good thing!
I treated myself to some lil bits from Paperchase this week. Its one of those stores that makes me feel like a kid in a toy shop...I want everything! I ended up with a cute lil pill box. I was so chuffed with it that I didn't think to open it up and see the space...o dear! I reckon I can get some of my 2 o'clock medication in there so is partly useful!!
The camera I have been after for so long now should be winging its way to me soon. I have spent a lot of time researching to ensure I get what I want in terms of features. I think I will be happy with my choice although I would have liked a better zoom range. That means I can start snapping this week and get my teeth into some techniques I have been reading about.
I am on a mission to clear my desk at some point today although I feel a bit under the weather so I'll see how I go. I am going to make my own desk tidy and file boxes this week so as to keep things in order. I spend too much time searching for things when I could be doing something else!
One of the signs that I am feeling stressed is when I start thinking about nail biting. Luckily I am able to control this as I know that can increase my risk of infection ten-fold. It is very tempting to do and I have slipped up once or twice and immediately regretted it.
o2 wireless is next weekend and I can't wait. We are going to arrive early so we can get parking and I am hoping to hire a lighter wheelchair than wheelie so as it make things easier when trying to reach the different stages! I just need to choose an outfit, my friend L came up with a fab suggestion in the week. I was going to wear a playsuit but then I though it may not be such a great idea when needing the bathroom! Umm!
Was hoping to badger some cinema managers to display organ register leaflets in their foyers to coincide with the release of 'My Sister's Keeper' but I am just too tired. Hoping to get some response from letters I sent. if not then hopefully sometime this week I can get on with my mission!
Well, I am going to continue my official pamper day by watching Eastenders whilst soaking my feet ready for an urgent pedicure!! I also need to work on making some more 'Inspired chic' cards for my forthcoming swap party! There's still a zillion things to arrange for my birthday too so I'd better crack on!
