Posted Jul 16 2009 10:00pm

A  new product containing Lycopene, a compound found in some red-skinned fruit including tomatoes, has been launched to prevent heart disease and stroke.

Lycopene is a natural compound found in tomatoes that is a powerful antioxidant.   Lycopene prevents cholesterol and the build-up of fatty (atherosclerotic) deposits in arteries.

The new food supplement, the active ingredient of which is Lycopene, (a compound found in some red-skinned fruit including tomatoes) helps  to prevent heart disease and stroke.
