It may have been a disastrous summer for UK gardeners but its been a spectacular summer for the UK athletes taking part in the London 2012 Olympics

Today will see the closing ceremony at the Paralympics enjoy a mini heatwave of 28c and UK gardeners praying that this sun and warm weather will last a bit longer.

The flowers may be dying at the Olympic Park and the fun might be over but the UK has shown that we have the ability to go beyond expectations – lets keep that flag flying forever!
