Is there a "safe" distance that beans and alliums can be in a garden...or do I have to purchase a parcel of 20 acres...LOL?

I'm adding plants to our Butterfly and Hummingbird Garden. I want to plant Scarlett Runner Bean for the Hummingbirds...and a couple of Alliums (chive plants...one next to each of our Milkweeds to help with our aphid infestations every year. I'm exhausted from hosing down the Milkweeds everyday and drowning all the surrounding plants...AGH! I'm also going to add a couple of yarrow plants near the milkweeds to help attract the Ladybugs...
