Several vegetable gardeners are reporting their disappointment with asparagus peas.
Asparagus peas do take a lot of picking – but we enjoy them for a change. We like them still crunchy – so only cook them for a few minutes.
We are not growing them this year as they do not really warrant their space in the garden – they do not produce enough to eat per sq. meter – compared to other veg. It is a shame, as they do cheer the garden up!

Have you tried flash frying them? They are good in stir fries. We were sent this tip: http://topveg.com/2009/04/how-to-cook-asparagus-peas/
