Why is there a lump beneath my left Ankle

           I was Playing football with my family Two weeks ago and I was Running to catch the ball and  I missed and accidentally Jumped on the football and hurt my ankle but I never found out what happened, it has hurt ever since.  Now there is a small lump about 2 inches beneath my left ankle on the left side. It hurts whenever I walk.
Any Suggestions?
