I am a surviver of a rare disease called Conn's Disease, or primary hyperaldosteronism. I had it for at least 8 years according to my endocrinologist and surgeon. Last year I had an adrenalectomy to remove the gland and tumor, which cured and removed the horrible side effects that go with this insideous disease.

Today, I feel more like myself than I have in 10 years, and I encourage anyone who has Conn's or suspects they have it, to contact me or visit my blog which chronicles my journey to wellness. The blog also explains the many steps and tests you will take before receiving a true diagnosis. It's a sometimes maddening condition, but there is hope and help available through my site as well as NORD rare diseases community: http://www.inspire.com/groups/rare-disease/discussion/conns-syndrome-hyperaldosteronism/    , as well as Yahoo Groups-hyperaldosteronism.

 Remember the following quote...

"Always listen to your body, it never lies."- Dr. Mehmet Oz

Thanks to several screams from my insides, I did this two years ago and am alive and healthy today.

Peace~Flower Spy
