Yoga has transformed not only the way I look but the way I feel. Since teaching yoga and practicing yoga nearly every day, I’ve become much more conscious of enjoying the moment. I also am an observer of my emotions, and can stop myself from over reacting (most of the time). I used to be really consumed with my how I looked, but now my focus has changed from how I look to how I FEEL in my body. I’ve let go of my physical imperfections and see the strength in what my body can do, and thus feel gratitude. Everyday I use yoga principles to be connected to the now. Being connected to the moment brings me so much joy.
I’ve been thinking about how much my yoga students have improved and wanted to share how yoga has changed not only their physical self, but their emotional and spiritual self. I decided the best way to help others see the benefits is to share what they have discovered through doing yoga. I’m going to conduct bi-weekly interviews with each of my students with the intention to give you insight into the many benefits of starting a yoga practice or continuing one.
