Losing weight is never easy. When you're a new mom and lack of sleep has taken over, it's pretty hard to get motivated to work out or eat right. I found some tips on losing weight the safe way (here):
1. Wait at least 6 weeks before you get started. Your body needs some time to heal.
2. Exercise. Find something you like and go to it (once your body is ready, that is)!
3. Don't restrict yourself too much. You need some calories to function (it says about 1200 is average, depending on some factors.)
4. Have a look at the handy menu plan included in the above link.
You can do it. It's just a matter of knowing how to get started. With good support systems, anyone can successfully lose the weight!
