RW says that they started this streak to bridge the gap between spring races and fall training … and they are right on. Marathon training is not in full swing and while I am following a plan, I am less than motivated to stick exactly to it. I am finding myself too far away from my goal race to really push myself. Enter the streak. I welcome you, Streak. Lets party.
I don’t currently run every single day … in fact I have never done a run streak of longer than 7 days. 38 days of running at least a mile Every. Single. Day is a new challenge for me. In all honesty, its a huge challenge and I know there will be days when I am just craving a rest from running. I read this amazing post on Another Mother Runner today and realize that those days are the Character Building Workouts. The workouts that you love to hate but always remember the most.
Lets build some character over the next 38 days … you in?
Run at least one mile per day, every day, starting on Memorial Day (Monday, 5/28) and ending on Independence Day (Wednesday, 7/4). That’s 38 consecutive days of running.
