Entertaining family can be especially tricky when there are both adults and young children to please. I love that Price Chopper provides ideas for delicious meals that will please everyone. The has many great recipes to choose from. I’m not the most creative cook, so having recipes that are both creative and easy to make really help me impress my friends and family.

For the adults, I decided to make Sage and Cranberry Crab Cakes. They make for a great appetizer or protein for your main dish. I’ve already brought these crab cakes to a Mom’s Night Out, receiving rave reviews.

For the kids, we went with the Christmas Festive Wreath Pizza. The kids had a blast helping create this masterpiece of pizza pleasure. It’s both pleasing to the eye and the palette with yummy peppers, mozzarella cheese and italian dressing. The Pillsbury Pizza Crust made for a great base as well.

The kids had a blast helping make the pizza.

  • Pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees.
  • Wash and remove the seeds of the peppers. Dice the peppers keeping the green peppers separate from the red peppers.
  • Roll out the Pillsbury pizza dough onto a cooking sheet or round that is slightly greased. Baste the pizza dough with the garlic oil. Evenly distribute the Italian dressing and season it with a light layer of salt and pepper. Top the pizza with the shredded mozzarella.
  • Stir the green peppers with a tablespoon of the oil. Stir the red peppers with a 1½ teaspoons of oil. Sprinkle the red peppers on to the pizza round to create a bow. Set aside some red peppers to use to garnish faux berries after sprinkling the green peppers around the edge to create a wreath.
  • Bake for 20 – 25 minutes, until the crust is golden brown. Let it set after removing it from the oven for a few minutes, cut and serve.
