Postpartum Weight Loss- Tips to Beat Tempting Holiday Snacks

To Sara of Fit by Sara: “I’ve been so good about eating healthy, but now that I’m surrounded by holiday snacks I’m having trouble avoiding temptation. Any tips to beat the temptation of holiday snacks?”

It can be hard to avoid all of those tempting holiday treats, especially if you work in an office and people are offering them to you. To avoid temptation remind yourself that you’ve worked hard to get your results. Is it really worth it to self-sabatoge with high calorie-non-nourishing foods? You can let your co-workers know that you’ve been working hard to stay in shape, and they’ll likely support you. Also, many times holiday treats look better than they taste and are full of fat and empty calories.

Be sure to bring healthy treats for yourself and even to share. Apples w/ low-fat mozerella cheese or peanut butter are a healthy yummy, nourish your body treat you can enjoy without the guilt. If the snacks are really getting to you, get out of the space and get a quick breath of fresh air or go for a walk.
