Best White: Charlize Theron Best Hair: Naomi Watts (I know it’s a little messy but I am digging it). Runner up: Jessica Chastain Source: EW.com Instead of listing my “Worst Dressed” (hello, Helena Bonham Carter … oops, sorry), I will say there were a few actresses I was underwhelmed by, including: Anne Hathaway (channeling Gwyneth circa “Shakespeare in Love”). Not only was I bored, but I don’t think it fit well, she needed something for the girls (was it a chilly night?), and not sure why she thought she needed that necklace with such a high neckline. Sooo disappointed. Source: EW.com
Amanda Seyfried: This just felt old and tired to me. And it kind of reminded me of bridal lingerie. I was expecting a lot more because I think she has such as interesting point of view when it comes to style. Was anyone else underwhelmed too? And didn’t it seem like we were missing some “star power” last night?

I’m not quite sure what to think of last night’s red carpet fashions.
Where were the trends? The only thing I noticed was a lot of black/silver/gray combos, plenty of both white and gold gowns, and a few sprinkles of red. With few exceptions ( Jennifer Aniston , Kerry Washington , Reese Witherspoon ) it wasn’t a particularly colorful Oscars.
Honestly, no one really stood out for me or stole the show, like in previous years. But that doesn’t mean I didn’t like any. Here are some of my notes.
Best Metallic: Jessica Chastain (Runner up: Jennifer Hudson , although I hated the hair)

Best Color: Jennifer Garner (This was close to being one of my favorites, but I am on the fence about the ruffled back and the matchy-matchy shoes).
