As a , I was chosen to help promote the National Guard’s Soldier of Steel™ transformational workout plan. This is perfect timing to help me get my booty into shape for summer. I’m going to be the WOMAN OF STEEL by the end of summer. Now if I can just find my chin up bar.
This workout plan is no joke! With a name like Soldier of Steel™ I can’t imagine anyone would think it was a light workout, now you can’t say I didn’t warn you. If you take on this workout program, it’s going to kick your ass, I mean booty (family friendly, right?). The plan allows one full rest day each week, otherwise training is expected every day. Each hard day is followed by an easier recovery day. Thank goodness for that! I like to recover, don’t you?
My workout program has been pretty lame lately. I’ve been doing some short interval runs, but I have been so focused on work and preparing for vacation that my workouts have fallen to the back burner. Well, this program is going to light that fire back under my ass (oops, I said it again) and whip me into shape. I am looking forward to it.
Mark Twight, Hollywood fitness trainer, pushed cast and Soldiers with a unique workout plan, helping them to transform for their respective roles. Here is a great clip about how the actor playing Superman in the new movie MAN OF STEEL™ got into killer shape with the Soldier of Steel™ trainer as well.
Physical fitness is an essential trait for every Soldier. National Guard Soldiers are trained to be ready for anything. Just as Clark Kent transforms into the MAN OF STEEL™ (now playing in theaters) when needed, National Guard Citizen – Soldiers transform when their communities call. They are certainly our real life super heroes.

According to the workout plan:
This training plan does not have physical mastery as its objective. Instead, following this guidance and schedule will teach the trainee fundamental and universal movements, and begin to instill the habit of daily exercise. The most important characteristic of being trained is a strong work ethic.
Much of the plan can be done with limited space and minimal equipment. There are instructions to modify moves that may be too challenging as well. Except for that darned chin up bar, I have everything I need. The requirements are as follows:
Access to low-impact “cardio” machines (i.e. rowing machine, stationary bike, elliptical machine) or swimming pool
Are you ready to join me? Can I get a “Yes SIR!!” Yes, you can call me SIR because it sounds so much better than “Yes Ma’am”, don’t you think? Anyway, I’ll also report back as I get started with this plan in full. You might see me flying into your town to save the day. I can dream, right?
