Healthy Diet: Meals Delivered by Diet-to-Go

Diet-to-Go Review

A few months ago, I had the pleasure of reviewing the meal delivery service ( here is a link to my first review ). Lucky for me the company was so impressed with my review that they asked me to be one of their ambassadors. Since I loved the healthy diet meals so much, I gladly said yes!

For my last review, I tried the Low Carb menu. This time, I went with the traditional Low Fat menu. Diet-to-Go also provides a vegetarian option. I received 5 days worth of healthy diet meals with three meals each day including sides and condiments. Here is the Diet-to-Go description for the Low Fat menu option:

This plan was for 1600 calories, which I think is a bit high unless your workouts are burning a decent amount, but I wanted to try the plan as it was sent so I made no changes or substitutions. In the 5 days, I lost one pound, which I think is fine. I was really busy so I barely exercised, but I found the meals kept me satisfied and full without the need to snack frequently, which is often my downfall. I also liked that this menu provided me with some meal items I have never had before. I always love trying new things.

I also like that unlike other meal plans, Diet-to-Go has no commitment or contract. Their plans are 100% guaranteed. You can easily make special requests and substitutions for allergies are even dislikes. The meals are also made on a 5-week rotation to give customers a wide variety of meals each week.

Overall, I found that the Low Fat meal plan did not travel and re-heat as well as the Low Carb plan. I suppose that may be because many of the meals included a bread or carb, which can be challenging to warm up in the microwave. There seems to be rather generic heating instructions on all meals so it can take a bit of trial and error. I advise wrapping most breads in a paper towel to warm up in a microwave. Overall, I still liked the Low Fat meal plan quite a bit, but I might make a few substitutions based on the meals I did not think reheated very well.
