I’m not a foodie type person ~ I can’t stand to cook for the most part, in fact. It’s gotta be easy to make and with ingredients I know or I’m just giving up before I start. I DO like to eat food though and I do know that the food you eat is directly related to how you feel and contributes greatly to your overall health.
So, I decided to spend Friday concentrating on food! The food I make and the food I eat. If I haven’t eaten it and love it, I’m not going to post it. This first recipe is all mine and it’s something that I make a lot ~ it’s pretty much a staple around here.
Strawberry Banana Smoothy: (Warning!! all measurements are approximate..)
1C frozen strawberries (softened slightly by sitting out or in the microwave)
1/2C strawberry banana kefir or vanilla yogurt
3/4C 1% milk
1T honey or sugar in the raw
Throw it all in the blend and blend it up. Adjust the milk to change the thickness and taste to see if it needs more sweetener. This recipe is enough for about 3 smoothies.
