Favorite Things Friday: Woven the Photo Sharing App

I am really bad at deleting photos on my iPhone. Like, to the point where I’ve hit my storage capacity three or four times over the last few months and couldn’t take any more photos, download or update apps, etc. Hmm, could the 1,000+ photos on my Camera Roll have something to do with it?
For better or worse, I look at photos the same way I look at my thousands of saved and archived work emails: I keep them “just in case” because you never know.
On top of it, I have years worth of random photos tucked away on Snapfish, Shutterfly, Picasa, Facebook, Instagram … you get the idea.
I clearly need help. Enter the free photo sharing app, Woven .
Just of the few of my 20+ Woven albums
Here are the reasons I love this app:
It magically finds and collects all your photos from the sites and apps listed above – in addition to your phone – then sorts them into albums that (gasp!) actually make sense. The result? You can access all your photos in one place.
There are no limits on the number of photos it can hold.
I can email individual photos or entire albums to my friends and family who are not on Facebook (yes, they do exist).
It’s totally easy to use, even if you’re technologically challenged, like me.
The “Thread” option, which randomly pulls out photos from the past. I love when it surprises me with pics of Buddy as a newborn or when he was Mimi’s age.
Oh yeah, it’s free.
I’m keeping my fingers crossed that newer versions of Woven will include the option to either order prints or print directly from the app. Maybe then it would force me to actually print photos. But in the meantime, if you are a photo hoarder like me, or have pics in a bunch of different locations, try giving Woven a whirl.
Are you good about deleting old photos and organizing your existing ones? Or are you a haphazard photo collector like me?
