Health knowledge made personal
I'm the voice behind the fitness-focused website and blog, Fit-Ink (www.fit-ink.com). A friend and I started it January 2009 as a place to share some of our favorite fitness finds, race reports, events and gear. Basically, if you can burn calories doing it, we're most likely writing about it.
Other info from my Fit-Ink profile: I'm from Chicago by way of Michigan and New York. I haven't picked up an accent somewhere along the way but I do think I belong in the mountains rather than struggle through city life. When freelance writing and editing duties don't have me glued to the computer, I'm tearing up the Windy City by foot, pedal or stroke--anything to stay active, moving and outdoors, with some quality gym time during winter hibernation. Name the gear and I probably have it stashed in a closet--bikes, kiteboard, tennis racquets, snowshoes, skis, wetsuit. I've tried everything but kiteboarding (I'll watch but I'm scared). And my friends like to point out that I did an Ironman. Make that three of them--first in 2008, again in 2010 and again in 2012.
