Christian Olympics Really Helped Me with Accountability

I was honored to be part of a beta testing team that got to review a new group/game called Christian Olympics for the last week. This group was held inside an online wellness game called Mind Bloom. The game was developed by certified wellness Coach, Elizabeth Avelar from Live, Life, and Wellness. Love Life Wellness is a fun faith-based organization that is organizing the “Christian Olympics”. Christian Olympics is a free online game where you perform daily tasks to grow your “faith tree” online.
This online game uses Paul’s story of a race to help us to grow our faith and brings together like minded Christians who want more accountability in their life. You will learn scripture, make goals, have friends who inspire you and keep you accountable, and you have many resources and encouragement!
Each day of the game you will receive a new challenge and go over your list of what you want to accomplish that day. The challenges are fun and effective. You will get your body moving, eat better and get out of your box or comfort zone. There is something in this game to help everyone.
I really have a hard time getting going in the morning. It is hard with fibro to just get out of bed but to have daily goals and commitments online was good for me. After my quiet time I came to check in on my game or really my accountability partner. There was a video from Liz waiting for me with my challenge of the day and then there was own list of items I wanted to accountable for. I really liked this. I also could have friends who could encourage me along the way because if I wanted they could see how I did each day.
I really loved this and it challenged me. I am not used to having others in a group hold me accountable and it helped me be better each day. I was even able to tweak some of the challenges so that they would fit this fibro body. It just helped having a motivational and creative way to accomplish different goals in my life.
Take this two week challenge and try the Christian Olympics . You will get daily challenges and it will help set you up for success in areas that you may not have thought you needed help in and many activities may just make you come completely out of your comfort zone and get really creative. I was singing and drawing and dancing. Not the greatest of my talents but it gave me and my family something to talk about and laugh about. It can also be used as a teaching tool for your kids so they can learn accountability too. They can also learn scripture with you which in my book is great! You will learn how to better take care of your health and Christian life with the help of scripture, song, and resources.
The Christian Olympics runs at the same time of the official Olympics starting July 26th thru August 8th. It is absolutely free and you should definitely give it a try. There are also prizes you can win and we all know how much we love prizes around here. The biggest prize is to gain encouragement from others and see just how much you can accomplish if you set your mind to it. You may just be a different person after 2 weeks with the Christian Olympics .
