Busy like a worker bee... there are so many things going on right now, it's not even funny how many plates I've got spinning in the air.
- My kids start school the 21st - one starts Kindergarten and one starts 8th grade, luckily they are at the same school. There are many things to get ready though - school supplies, uniforms. Mr. Snugglebunny also graduates pre-school on the 15th - so figuring out a potluck dish to take. We also have Kindergarten back to school night the 14th and I'm a room mom.
- Mr. Bubba has started the new school year and is now the Dean of Students at his school. We are adjusting to his new responsibilities and him having to work longer hours. It was also his birthday this past week (Happy Birthday Hun!). They're off at his birthday party as we speak. See the 2nd bullet from this one to find out why I'm not there.
- We're still decluttering our home office, if you follow me on Twitter you've seen my updates recently: "Another date with the shredder". We're going through a lot of paperwork that was neglected for too long and shredding or recycling it. As part of this process I'm also purging my book collection and selling books online or posting them on PaperBackSwap.
- I'm also on call for a birth doula client. She was due August 3rd, she started having contractions yesterday (August 9) and has not delivered yet. We went to the hospital at 3 am this morning and they sent us home. So I've spent the morning resting to make sure I have energy stored for labor later today.
Those are the big areas that I've been busy with recently, I'm sure there are more, I just can't think of them right now. My brain is a little fried from little sleep last night, I better go back to bed so I can rest some more... I think I'll be back at the hospital with my client tonight.
So this is just a brief explanation of why my blog has been fairly silent the past week or so. I even started a post a few days ago that I never got to finish so this is it for now.
Hopefully, I'll have baby news soon. Good night! well, good morning it's not even 11:30 am yet. I think you know what I mean...
