What is Wellsphere?

Wellsphere is the online destination for all your health information and support needs. You'll find articles from the world's best medical experts, patients bravely sharing their stories of survival, and inspiring healthy living professionals helping guide you toward a happy, healthy life. As a member, you can get your questions answered, have access to free tools to help you achieve your health goals, enjoy the support of our caring community, exchange tips and advice, find local resources, and have a chance to tell your own success story.

Can I advertise my services?

Account & Membership Information

How do I change my account information?

To modify your account preferences, including email address and password, simply log in and click the “My Account Settings” link from the “My Account” tab on your “My Wellsphere” page to make any changes.

Why does Wellsphere ask for my location?

By knowing your city, state and zip code we can personalize the website for you, showing you members, local resources and classes & events near you. It also tells other members where you live so people looking for activity buddies can find you.

How do I change my notification settings?

To let us know if you want to receive news and updates from Wellsphere, simply log in, and click the “My Notifications” link from the “My Account” tab on your “My Wellsphere” page. Simply check or uncheck the notifications you wish to receive or opt out of, and choose the method and frequency of notification. You can receive notifications via email or text messages to your mobile phone.

What do I do if I forgot my password?

If you forgot your password, click the link “Forgot your password?” link (here or on the Log in page), submit your email address, and instructions to reset your password will be emailed to you. If you don’t see the email in your Inbox, check your spam folder in case it got filtered to that location. If you don’t receive an email, please contact us at support@wellsphere.com.

Setting Goals on Wellsphere

What are the benefits of setting a goal on Wellsphere?

Wellsphere lets you set your goals, track your progress, send yourself text message and email reminders and invite friends and family to cheer you along the way! You can post to our community journals, and get advice and support from the community to help you stay on track.

How do I set a goal?

To set a goal, click Add a goal on your My Wellsphere page.

How do I track my goal progress?

To log your progress, click My Wellsphere and go to the Goals tab. Select the goal you want to view and log progress for, and enter the amount in your progress log.

Privacy & Terms of Use

What does Wellsphere do with my personal information?

Wellsphere respects and values your privacy. We use your personal info to personalize your My Wellsphere page, show you relevant local resources, and help improve your experience on our website. We will not sell, rent, trade or share your personal info with other parties. For complete information, see our Privacy Policy.

What is Wellsphere’s spam policy?

Wellsphere does not allow unsolicited commercial messages to be distributed through our website. If you receive spam from another Wellsphere member, please forward the message to support@wellsphere.com.

If you or another Wellsphere member is found to have sent unsolicited commercial messages to other Wellsphere members, we will immediately review the situation and take the necessary actions.

How do I report inappropriate content?

If you feel someone is violating the Terms of Use, you can “Flag” the content or email us at wecare@wellsphere.com with the URL to the inappropriate content. A Wellsphere staff member will review the content and take further action as needed.

Website and Technical Issues

If I find a problem or am having technical issues, what do I do?

If you are having problems with the website or come across a website error, please contact us at support@wellsphere.com with a detailed description of the error. A Wellsphere staff member will review your comments and contact you if further information is needed. Your feedback is essential so that we can continue to improve the website.

What are Wellsphere Points?

Wellsphere Points are a fun way for you to measure the impact you're having on your own well-being and on the well-being of the whole community! You earn Wellsphere Points when you do things that are good for you, and when you do things that are helpful to others. When you're logged in to Wellsphere, you'll see your current Wellsphere Points in your “My Wellsphere Points” box on the upper right corner of your screen. Your “My Wellsphere Points” box will be with you on each page you visit, telling you how you can earn more Wellsphere Points on that page. For example, by joining a community you are interested in, posting advice or even asking a question, you will earn 5 Wellsphere Points. Check out the About Wellsphere Points page to learn more.

What is My Wellsphere?

“My Wellsphere” is your own personal home on Wellsphere and everything on the page is personalized to your unique interests and goals. Think of it as your personal dashboard where you can manage your Wellsphere experience.

It’s the place that highlights:
 • articles and discussions that match your interests
 • the communities and teams you are a member of
 • your bookmarked pages
 • latest activity on the website that is relevant to your interests, friends and goals
 • your notifications (e.g., someone requests your friendship or answered your question)
 • comments other members have left for you

From “My Wellsphere”, you can also:
 • set your goals
 • personalize your blog and discussion feeds
 • schedule email and text message reminders
 • update your progress on your goals and view progress charts
 • invite friends and supporters
 • update your profile

From your My Wellsphere page, you can venture out into the community and see what all the great Wellsphere members are doing, but you can always come back to your home on Wellsphere.

Facebook Connect

What is Facebook Connect?

Facebook Connect allows you to bring your Facebook account into Wellsphere, so you can easily connect and share your Wellsphere activity with your Facebook friends.

Why should I connect my Wellsphere account to my Facebook account?

It makes signing in easier by allowing you to use your Facebook account to sign up and log in to Wellsphere — there's no need to create another account. You can also use your Facebook name and profile photo on Wellsphere; just select them when you first connect or after on your My Account Settings and About Me pages, respectively.

If I connect my accounts, can I disconnect them later if I choose?

Yes. You can choose to connect or disconnect these accounts at anytime from your My Facebook Connect page. Just go to your My Wellsphere page, and from the My Account tab, select My Facebook Connect from the drop down menu.

Does Wellsphere automatically publish my Wellsphere posts to my Facebook profile?

No. All posts to your Facebook Profile and News Feed from Wellsphere are made by you. Once you've posted content on Wellsphere, such as a blog post, video, question, resource, comment, etc., click on the "Share" Facebook sharing button either from the top right of the page or at the end of the post to publish it.

When I went to share a post I was not asked to log in to Facebook because I was already connected. Why?

This occurs when you sign in to Wellsphere while being logged into Facebook, if you've connected with Facebook through Wellsphere before.

Does Wellsphere collect and use my Facebook friends' email addresses for any purpose?

No. Wellsphere does not contact your Facebook friends or store their email addresses unless they are or become Wellsphere members, in which case they receive our "welcome" email and (very infrequent) general member information emails.
