Yoga-licious

Posted Mar 11 2009 3:39pm
Yoga is great for its simplicity—you really only need yourself and a floor, and you’re ready to go. But if you’re a yoga fanatic, it’s great to splurge on yoga goodies —a mat and your outfit. And yoga clothing could possibly be the cutest of all active clothing genres. If you’ve been taking your workouts to the mat lately, we’ve got some fashionable pieces for you—and a chance to win a yoga outfit!

Devi Yoga Mats
Many yoga classes provide mats for you. But why use a grungy old boring mat when you can buy one that’s beyond posh? The gorgeous Devi yoga mats come in many designs and will hopefully take you to a beautiful state of mind while you’re in downward dog. The yoga mats bring in natural elements to inspire and create more of a connection with the world. With eight styles to choose from, you have the option of natural elements, universe-inspired themes, or more artsy designs. I personally love the Earth mat (right) and the abstract feel of the Natural Pop mats. They are pricey at $99.95, but can you really put a price on inspiration?

lucy Yoga Gear
If you love drool-worthy workout outfits, get thee to a lucy store stat. lucy has such stylish clothes for running, yoga and the gym, and you can easily wear them to run errands before a workout and still look put together.

lucy’s new hot yoga halter is an adorable addition to a workout wardrobe. Jenn said it was super flattering on (what she calls) her broader shoulders, and I loved how it fit my mid-section. The cut does show off the cleavage if you’ve got it (I don’t), so make sure you’re comfortable with that before you buy. It also gets our seal of approval with a sports bra worn underneath. Totally cute and with moisture-wicking comfy cotton, the halter really lets you move freely.

The Harmony Capri is also made with the “cool cotton” so it’s soft, breathable and moisture-wicking—perfect for a hot yoga class. The foldover waistband makes it super comfortable, and Jenn wore them on a run and said they didn’t get saggy and stretchy like some capris do. It comes in all black or navy with a tie-dye waist. Plus, the Asian characters on the waistband are a cute little detail.
