If you are anything like me, your group of friends love to eat late night food on weekends. As the clock strikes midnight, their hunger rather than mojo kicks into overdrive. The focus shifts from golden blondes to the golden arches.
Going to a fast food restuarant usually starts as a joke around 11:30pm, but quickly turns into an all out chant by 12:30pm. Its like they are fans at a sporting event, firing eachother up (and trying to convince me) to eat the biggest most unhealthy meal possible.
The chant goes along with the tune of 'Let's Go Cubs' and goes a little something like this:
'Burgers and fries, Burgers and fries, Burgers and fries!'
The 'burgers and fries' chant starts slowly and builds in both speed and volume, then the Super(size) Fans split to tell me exactly where they want to go:
'Mc' 'Donalds', 'Mc' 'Donalds'
'Fud' 'Ruckers', 'Fud' 'Ruckers'
'Johnny' 'Rockets', 'Johnny' 'Rockets'
It's tough to be the lone health conscious guy in the group, because you don't want go home early and miss the intoxicated recap of the night or what other craziness might happen at 3 a.m. in a diner in Virginia.
