Not only exercising can make you fit and healthy rather one needs to have a proper intake of food so as to maintain his health. The Rice Diet is a program specializing in the prevention, treatment and reversal of obesity, hypertension, diabetes and congestive heart failure. The diet consists of fruits, grains, vegetables, beans, and olive oil with small amounts of non-fat dairy and seafood (& lean meats), which is what patients are directed to eat when they return home both for continued weight loss and maintenance. On completion of the program, resources are available for participants to continue with a healthy lifestyle, and to maintain the improved health gained while on the residential program.Amy Cooper Workout Routines

I think nutrition and exercise go hand in hand...can't do one without the other or it's best to do both.  Some diets are so strict that it becomes more of a problem and people just quit before they see significant results.  Unfortunately, most of the people who go on a strict diet, reach their goals, fail to maintain- and that is probably the hardest part.  Thanks for the information about the Rice Diet.  I'll read more about it.
Proper diet is just as important as exercise. I found a cookbook I really like with several "gluten free" recipes along with other "natural" recipes.  Its an ebook, which is good be cause you can just print off what recipe you want.  I purchased it from this link


From what I understand the Rice Diet has been around since the 1930's and was originally intended to be a medically-supervised, live-in program designed for rapid weight-loss over a period of 2 to 4 weeks or more, in the treatment of obesity, diabetes, heart disease, hypertension and renal disease. The program operates as part of Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, USA.

Since then a dietician and her MD husband have retooled the diet.  Here's some good info on their plan from Livestrong

What helps me is that I drink a cup of tea in the morning. All it is is hot water, a small spoonful of cinnamon, and two teaspoons of raw honey. Or honey from a local farm. Drinking a cup in the morning and then about a half hour befor meals if possible helps burn away fat. Theres something in the honey that helps block absorbing fats. Ive already lost 10 lbs. and I've only been doing this for about a week and a half. It also helps relieve upset stomach, and arthritis pains, bad breath, and sore throats. Read up on it:)

The best workout routine for fat loss that I've come across is the one in the Fat Loss Guidebook    It works for me because I don't have time for 90 minute workouts. 

 When I started working on improving my nutrition and exercising on a regular basis, I lost the belly fat fast.   My moods also improved.
