Workout Mix

Posted Jun 03 2008 3:04pm
With all the working out I’ve been doing lately, I decided it was time to shuffle around my iTunes Workout playlist, because without my iPod, I don’t think I could get through a minute on the elliptical machine. I’d been listening to the same songs for months, and while I have 10,000,000 songs in my iTunes, I hadn’t changed the Workout playlist much.

I went to the gym with the new mix of songs, and it was great! It really kept me on my toes because I didn’t know exactly which song was coming next and what the beat was like. (My old mix was so overplayed that I could tell you exactly what the beat of the next song was without hearing it).

I thought some of you might like to see what I’ve been working out to, so here’s my list:

  1. Strong Enough - Cher
  2. Because of You (Jason Nevins remix) - Kelly Clarkson
  3. U & Ur Hand (Bimbo Jones remix) - P!nk
  4. Glamorous - Fergie ft. Ludacris
  5. Song for the Lonely - Cher
  6. It’s a Fine Day - Miss Jane
  7. Toxic - Britney Spears
  8. Wow - Snow Patrol
  9. Believe - Cher
  10. Do Ya - Peaches
  11. Mr. Brightside - The Killers
  12. She Is - The Fray
  13. Walkin’ On the Sun - Smash Mouth
  14. (Don’t Fear) The Reaper - Caesars
  15. Vogue - Madonna

Ok, so no judgments on the music choices. I know it’s heavy with pop, and has a bit too much Cher to avoid embarrassment, but the songs really get me going. Each of them has a good (fast) beat, catchy lyrics, and keeps me from wondering how much longer I have to be up on this machine. In fact, I hardly realize how long I’ve been working out when I have these songs to distract me.

In my quest to always find new tunes to groove to while I’m working my way towards a skinnier and healthier me, I want to know what your favorite workout songs are. List a few of them in the comments.
