After a full 2 weeks of being a BLOB, and eating everything in sight - including ramen, chicken & rice, domican foods, korean bbqs, sushi buffets, ice cream galore, and mcdonalds! It's time to get back on track. It's kind of interesting, because not too long ago I used to eat like that all the time, without the exercise... and now my body is craving healthy eats, fresh greens, raw foods and organic stuff.
So, this time around I am going to really take it to another level. I'm shooting for a full P90X part II, Lots of circuit HIIT training sessions, and really concentrate on my running game. I'm going to stay away from all fast food, eat as much organic fuel that I can, and limit myself to 1 bagel a week. (I absolutely love bagels and eat them 4-5 times a week). And I think, I'm actually going to reduce my coffee intake and increase the teas. :)
Anyway- today was the most beautiful October Sunday ever, and I started to get back in the swing of things with a nice slow 6 mile jog. Feet are feeling okay, knees are good, and quads were warming up. I'm really glad I stayed off and took a break, and let the body recover. I'm hoping the next 8 months will be injury free!
I recently had a conversation with a few close friends and told them my theories about the differences between someone who does hard work, works hard, and works smart. There's a very clear difference between the three. And ultimately, I believe the goal is to work smart, in all that you do. If you'd like to have a more in depth conversation, feel free to pick my thoughts! :) But until then, I hope to be able to share my smart workouts with you over the next few months.
