Why can't I walk without getting leg cramps and large knots in both of my lower legs?

I cannot seem to walk a mile without getting severe cramps and knots in both of my lower legs.  I does not matter whether I stretch beforehand or whether I adjust the settings on the treadmill.  I have tried different shoes.  I have tried eating more foods with potassium and drinking more water beforehand.  Nothing seems to work.  Both of my hands will also be swollen at the end of a workout.

In addition to eating foods high in potassium, you may want to try to take potassium supplements 2x per day as well as magnesium.  Hope this helps.
