Weekend happenings and Brady Bands Autism Awareness Band Giveaway

It’s going to be another busy week. When I look at all the appointments, trainings and meetings I have this week my head starts to spin a little. Not to mention that the Midwest Mania Fitness Convention is this weekend and I am going all day Friday and Sunday.
We were busy on Saturday with family and friends for the Jewish holidays. Yesterday, was supposed to be our apple picking day but it rained the entire day!
Ground soaking wetness all day long!
We were a little bummed plans didn’t work out as they were supposed to but it gave us time to breathe, food prep and just be at home. I made this ginger almond kelp salad for lunch but added more veggies and kale. It was great yesterday, but it’s going to be even better today!
I should have turned on my crock pot in the morning to make chilli for dinner as it was that kind of wet and damp day but we all enjoyed these bison taco bowls . I had mine over a massive amount of zucchini noodles which I swear is under all that bison and peppers goodness!
As you know I am a HUGE fan of Brady Bands . I won’t workout without one and these days when I am running errands or training clients you can also find me sporting one of Amy’s great bands. You can click here to read about my Brady Band review in May.
Anyways, Amy is always coming up with new designs and bands and just last week she posted her new autism awareness band! I knew I had to have one ASAP.
As many of you know, professionally and personally I have been connected to the special needs world for a very long time. Currently, in one of my newest roles I am working to bring both my passions together to grow the Exercise Connection . At the EC we have pioneered a structured and individualized visual fitness curriculum for individuals with autism and special needs that is used worldwide and over the last six months I have been working hard to bring it nearby schools and gyms. It’s been exciting and wonderful and thus far we are at a local YMCA and will be beginning a massive partnership with a large special education district in the coming weeks.
When I told Amy what I had been doing she offered to send me a band as well as one for a reader. These bands are great and show the international symbol for autism awareness. They are the perfect gift to anyone you know that has been touched by someone with autism. Want to order one? Click here to get your hands on one or just check out all of Amy’s great bands!
