Thanks for sharing. I would have never considered housework cardio in the first place. That makes no sense to me. I'm certainly not working up a sweat doing it, and it doesn't make me out of breath! Now, I do live on the top floor of a three-floor walk-up, so going up and down the stairs, especially carrying my groceries, probably has a positive effect on my health. I actually don't notice the stairs anymore...but ouch, what a pain when I was moving in!
There's something to be said for a deep clean. If you're like me, you do the whole house when you really get down to it. I'm tired and sweaty and ready for a rest after hours (yes, hours to clean my little house) of moving furniture, sweeping & vacuuming (the same floors-we have no carpet but we have furry pets), mopping, dusting, scrubbing, and putting everything back in its place again. Generally, running up and down the basement stairs to do laundry while getting all those duties done is a task in itself as well. Obviously, the deep clean is not a daily activity but it sure it taxing when I do get right into cleaning up!
