Angiethis will work the muscle of your upper arm opposite your Bicep (tricep...think jingle on the back side). The tricep extension focuses on toning and strengthening your triceps. This exercise allows you to focus on working one arm at a time. you can do this exercise with dumbbellsbut I am going to explain how you can use the Exercise tube to have an additional option of changing it up a bit!
As you perform the tricep extensiontry to keep your back straight and your abdominal muscles tight to help protect your back. You should also try to keep your upper arm stationary and your knees slightly bent at all times. Do not bend your wrist or lock your elbow as you straighten your arm.
As with any other exerciseperform the tricep extension in a slowcontrolled manner to get the most out of the exercise and to avoid injury.
If you have neck or wrist problemsyou should be careful when performing the tricep extension. Do not perform this exercise if you have shoulder or elbow problems.
1. Grasp a handle of the exercise tubing in your right hand.
2. Stand straight with your feet roughly shoulder width apart and your knees slightly bent. Tighten your abdominal muscles to help protect your back.
3. Bend your right arm and point your elbow toward the ceiling with your palm facing the back of your head.
4. Bend your left arm and grasp the tubing behind your backpalm facing backward.
5. Slowly straighten your arm to raise your hand above your head.
6. Pause for a moment and then slowly bend your arm to lower your hand back to the starting position.
7. After completing a set with your right armrepeat the exercise with your left arm.

Q. I have neck problems. Is there an easier tricep exercise I can perform?
A. YesStand in the middle of the tubing with your feet shoulder width apart and knees slightly bent. With your palm facing your bodygrasp a handle in your right hand and bend forward from your hips at a 45-degree angle. Keep your right upper arm against your side with your arm bent at 90 degrees and place your left hand on your left thigh.
Keeping your upper arm stationarystraighten your right arm and then bend your arm back to the starting position. Q. How can I work both arms at the same time?
A. To work both arms at the same timestand with your feet a few inches apart and your knees slightly bent. Step on one end of the tubing and then bring the tubing up along your back. Using both handsgrasp the handle of the tubing with your palms facing back and your elbows bent and pointing toward the ceiling. Straighten your arms until your hands are above your head and then bend your arms to lower your hands back to the starting position.
I will post the Exercise Tubing Exercise for the Bicep tomorrow.
