Top 10 cardio activities... what's your favorite?

Below is a list of the top 10 cardio exercises to burn calories. Paige Waehner of About.com said there are a lot of exercises one can do, but it's best to find an activity that works for you.

  1. Running
  2. Cross-country skiing
  3. Bicycling
  4. Elliptical trainer (one of my favorites)
  5. Swimming
  6. Step aerobics
  7. Rowing
  8. Rock climbing (another fun one)
  9. Walking (also helps de-stress your day)
  10. Handball

Racquetball burns 600 calories an hour. I am surprised that Waehner didn't list RB. Elliptical trainer is great, not only for cardio but for conditioning the body to play RB or other cardio games.
I love walking, mixed with a jog/run. Anything that gets my heart rate up so that I can go right back to walking. It's so soothing and gives me a chance to be alone with my thoughts - away from cell phones and out with nature.
I don't do it anymore, but it's so fun! And you can do it with friends and meet people!
TENNIS is my fav cardio followed by walking and stepper!:)
I love both swimming and biking for different reasons. I hate jogging and running, but I do enjoy walking. The other thing I would like to add is rollerblading. I like things where I feel like I am gliding or floating. No high-impact exercise for me! Indoor rock climbing is something I would be interested in doing but I just don't know where I would get the time to get started with all the other stuff I've done. I took one indoor class with a friend once and we had a blast.
My cardio activity is kickboxing because not only is there a lot of moving, twisting, and nonstop DOING, there is also constant thinking involved. The body and mind are engaged and it does feel good to be exercising the brain and body at once. Muay Thai involves a lot of intense conditioning and I've not done a better cardio workout (that involved body and mind) before.
I take a walk daily, and the speed varies depending on my energy level on that day (with 2 small kids, there is no predicting how you are gonna feel the next day. But I enjoy my daily dose of morning exercise.
My number one favorie cardio exercise is probably dancing because it's not as structured as some of the other activities I might do. It's fun, it gets me pumped, and it makes me feel wonderful.
