I never thought I would feel as passionate about health and wellness as I do now. I have spent the last 20 years working in the restaurant industry which is not known for the healthy lifestyle of it's employees. Typically a 14 hour day is finished late at night with a huge meal to make up for not eating all day. Mine would usually consist of a gi-normous grilled steak, mashed potatoes and 1 or 2 or 6 beers. Of course this was finished off with a pint of Ben and Jerry's. This past January I said enough.........no more binge eating and then crash dieting......It's time for a lifestyle change. I have become to committed to be fit for life......this old dog can learn a new trick!
People think "a big chef is a good chef," but that's not necessarily true and you are going to change how people view chefs. The new motto should be, "a healthy chef is a great chef." As people and chefs become passionate about health and wellness, it will require the restaurant industry to change their ways of cooking.
