Taking Control Of My Body

I posted this great quote and am using it to my advantage today…

As soon as it begins, take control of your day. Decide in detail what you intend to do and commit to making it happen.

If you sit around and wait for events and circumstances to pull you along, you’ll end up getting nothing accomplished. If you have no firm and resolute plans, you’ll waste all your time on meaningless distractions and interruptions.

Certainly unexpected situations will come up that require your response. Yet you can choose to respond from a position of power and control, rather than from a position of weakness and ineffectiveness.

Decide what you will do with this day, and get busy doing it. Make a difference, establish a positive momentum, and get your goals accomplished.

Time is here, right now, for you to use. Transform the passing time into lasting value by making effective use of it.

This day is filled with great possibilities. Choose certain, specific ones, and make the effort that will make them happen.

There have been some personal issues going on in my life for the past few months, which have really caused me to lose focus of my fitness and nutrition goals. I have been so busy focusing on things that I have no control over and trying to change them in stead of focusing on the things I do have control over. But yesterday morning I woke up and decided it was time for me to put myself first!

I got up, thinking positive and got in a great workout! About 10 minutes of KB work…even did my first set of cleans with 26lbs! My wrists can feel it today! Then I did 15 minutes on the treadmill, which is something I  haven’t done in like 4 months! It felt good and I felt good. I stayed on track with my nutrition and tried to cut back in my servings and “mindless” snacking. I did a quicker workout this morning, but was KB’s again and intervals on treadmill. My hip flexors are so tight, so gonna do some foam rolling and stretching of them to see what I can do to loosen them up.

I found the audio book, “Ask and It is Given ” by Jerry and Esther Hicks. I have heard so many good things about it and how it really helps you to be more positive so I am going to give it a try.

I took my measurements and a picture this morning too for a little more motivation. Anything can help at this point! My goal is to lose about 8-10 pounds and cut back my body fat. I have been slipping and those numbers are slowly going up, so time to crush um now and get them back down to where they belong!
