My host, Sushicookie, wrote about the President’s Challenge a few days ago, and I was intrigued. Though not I am not American, we have something similar in Canadian high schools, and I remember well that I always scored poorly. In school, I was far from athletic. Struggling with my lung condition, I was very sedentary, and PE classes were the bane of my existence. But things have changed, and the President’s Challenge presented an opportunity for me to return to the old huff-and-puff, and evaluate how far I’ve come in the past year. A chance to face what I used to dread, and say bring it on! SoI took the adults challenge, which took me less than 30 minutes. Here’s how I scored:
95%ile overall! Take that America! Naturally, I jest, but wow, what a difference one year can make. This was an incredibly validating experience for me, and a true measure of the improvement in my physical fitness. To think, that I could store in the 95%ile of a nation!
