Sweat and the workout

Posted by Kristen D.

I don't sweat much at the gym. That actually makes me feel ashamed at times, thinking that since I'm not sweating, I'm clearly not working out hard enough. In some cases, I'm sure that's the reason. But I'm beginning to think that maybe I'm one of those people who doesn't sweat that much.

I came across the article that the post title links to, which advises readers not to assume that sweating "is necessarily an accurate measure of a good workout or an indicator that calorie burning is in high gear."

What are your thoughts?

I think it totally depends on the person, the day, and maybe even how hydrated you are? I tended to sweat a lot when I did aerobics. Now I do more yoga and don't sweat at all, but I'm in better shape. Don't worry about it. You know if you're working or not!
