It’s time to talk about my favorite nut: Pistachios! Aside from being a completely addictive and delicious snack, Pistachios are rich in sterols and fiber. This can help lower bad cholesterol, protect against cancers, and help with digestive problems (like IBS). They have less fat content than other nuts and are packed with vitamin B. Why the green tint? Pistachios contain carotenee (commonly found in plants). Aside from just snacking (be sure to remove the shell but leave the brown “skin” on it), you can add them to salad, yogurt, granola, or crush and add to your favorite chicken or pasta dish! Yumm.
