Sunday can be a depressing day for many of us because the threat of the work week is looming. To distract ourselves from the thought of Monday, we do everything possible to avoid thinking about it. Sunday brunch, getting a coffee with friends, errands, we'll even do chores around our apartments to prevent accepting that the weekend is coming to an end.
One thing that you absolutely cannot forget to do every Sunday is
Shop for Groceries!
This is funny if you are in college, but that was so four years ago!
Grocery shopping on Sunday is critical for setting yourself up to have a successful week of eating well.
If you don't go grocery shopping, you will:
miss meals, most likely breakfast
eat all your meals out
spend more $$$ on food and drink, guaranteed
be exposed to hidden calories, fat, and big portions when eating out
not bring your own lunch
not have healthy snacks on you
not have easy access to fruits and vegetables
eat too much or too little
Side effects may include: weight loss, saving money, and cutting off the circulation of your pinkies
Grocery Shopping Tips from Lance:
Shop for the entire week
Don't shop hungry, you'll buy more of everything
If you don't buy it (junk food, desserts, etc.), it won't be there at your home to eat
If you don't have a car, bring a backpack for your heavy items
Upcoming Sundays:
I will share my grocery shopping experiences and cover the different sections of the grocery store with you. We'll talk about the foods I pick too because if I can do it, anyone can do it!
