Right now I’m watching this special on theFood Network about candy.  Yeah, candy is probably not associated with being healthy, but I just remembered an experience as I was watching it.  Sugar Free Candy.  It may be a good idea to get a different spin of your favorite candy without the sugar, but is it really better?

My opinion:Nope.  When it comes to candy such as mint Life Savers or Werther’s Butterscotch candy in sugar free form, I’m the type of person who can’t help but have more than one piece.  In sugar free form, too many of these candies can make your stomach feel not so good, and you find yourself going to the bathroom.  So after that experience, I will probably stay clear of sugar free candy, except maybe sugar free gum, since you’re chewing flavor and not consuming it.

For me, as for candy, I’ll have dark chocolate from time to time, since it’s known to help lower blood pressure and is loaded with antioxidants to prevent heart disease.  At first I wasn’t too fond of it, but as I got older, I started to appreciate it more.:)
