The hubs and I made pulled chicken last night in the crock pot and topped it with a bourbon pomegranate bbq sauce. I love making things in the crock pot as it gets colder. It's great coming home to a great smelling dinner that is hot and you don't have to do a lot of work for!

It was SO good last night and today for lunch I was looking forward to my sandwich until I started back up with the food aversion that I had on Friday. This morning I was at least able to have my green monster for breakfast (unlike Friday where all I wanted was cinnamon so I had a pumpkin spice flax granola bar instead of my regular sludge). I was hoping to enjoy the bbq on an arnold's sandwich thin and instead the smells of other people's meals at work spoiled my appetite and I had to force myself to eat. After I ate I felt nauseated all afternoon, especially after I caught a whif of tuna salad.
I know the food aversion and metallic taste in my mouth are both side effects that are supposed to go away after two to four weeks, I just hope it goes away sooner as the only thing that has sounded good today was the Three Cheese Chicken Nachos from Qdoba. It's not healthy by any stretch of the imagination and it's not something that I'm proud of, but I knew I needed to eat something more than what I had earlier today.

I hope these side effects go away, I'd prefer going back to eating lean proteins and complex carbs without feelings of nausea. I just hope that taking the metformin takes care of my hair loss, acne and lack of weight loss. I know it's not a wonder drug, but I keep telling myself that it's worth it in the end.
Tonight I did run 2.5 miles and I'm looking to get another 5 miles in before my 5k on Friday at work and my 9 miles this weekend! I'm pretty excited about running a 5k in the morning before at work on Friday! It's the busiest day of the year (we have all kinds of waivers due before pending competition on Saturday) and it's the perfect start for the day!
Is anyone running this week? What's your training schedule for the week?
